A feel-good Christmas film unlike you’ve ever seen it before... Starring Michel Blanc (Kiss & Tell, AF FFF19), A Good Doctor follows Serge, the only emergency doctor making home visits on a busy Christmas Eve in Paris. His career heading downhill fast and on the verge of being disbarred, Serge is left feeling apathetic and disgruntled. After an evening of onerous calls and one too many glasses of wine, he finds himself once again rushing to the bedside of a patient. On arrival, Serge is sprung by another terrible mishap when out of nowhere he finds food delivery driver Malek (Hakim Jemili) on the bonnet of his car.
Serge is livid, the incident sending him into a spiral of rage – concerned not for the health of the man that he might’ve just gravely injured but for the lost time this incident had caused. Worse still, Serge must now face completing the evening with a debilitating injury and not a helping hand in sight.
Taking advantage of Malek’s kind-hearted nature and eagerness to help - Serge sees an opportunity, why not let Malek step into his shoes for the night? After all, in some twisted way – he kind of owes him…
A story where a favour turns into friendship, follow Serge and Malek down a rabbit hole of chaos and misadventure as they battle illness, labour and miscommunication well into Christmas morning.
