Few achievements in the world of cinema can equal it.

- Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times' All-Time 100 Best Movie

Voted best film of all time by the Association of French Cinema Journalists, Children of Paradise continues to mesmerise, transporting us back to the Parisian theatre scene of the mid-1800s. Director Marcel Carné and writer Jacques Prévert craft a dreamlike atmosphere with a diverse cast, inspired by real historical figures.

In the shadows of the notorious ‘Boulevard of Crime’ near the Funambules Theatre, characters conspire, seduce, fight, and love. At the heart of this cinematic masterpiece is an enigmatic woman pursued romantically by four very different men, including the film's most iconic character, the tragically lovelorn mime, Baptiste.

Created under incredibly restrictive conditions in Nice and Paris during the dark days of the Nazi occupation, Children of Paradise emerged as a cinematic miracle. Released shortly after liberation, many hail it as the greatest French film of all time, with Marlon Brando once declaring it ‘maybe the best movie ever made.’

A must for cinema lovers.
