We are delighted to present the official 2026 Festival Report, reflecting on a remarkable year of cinematic excellence and cultural connection.

The 37th Alliance Française French Film Festival was its most successful edition on record, reaffirming its position as a nationwide landmark, bringing the heart of French storytelling to communities across Australia.

Held from 3 March to 28 April 2026, the eight-week Festival spanned 21 cities and 41 venues, welcoming more than 213,000 attendees, a 7% increase on the previous year. Audiences attended almost 6,800 screenings, including approximately 140 school sessions, across a curated programme of 39 recent French films, the majority presented as Australian premieres.
